Borawake is a distinguished leader in the field of critical care, currently serving as the Director of Critical Care and Head of the Department of Medicine at Sahyadri Super Specialty Hospital in Pune. A fellow of the ISCCM (FICCM), his extensive educational background includes MBBS, DNB (Medicine), and IDCCM qualifications. His journey within the ISCCM is defined by over a decade of consistent, hands-on service, rising through every level of leadership from the Pune Branch—where he served as Treasurer, Secretary, and eventually Chairman—to the national stage as a National Executive Member and former National Treasurer. His unwavering commitment has been recognized by the National ISCCM with the prestigious President Citation Award for an incredible six consecutive years, from 2020 to 2025.
